N.J. library gets back overdue book 101 years late

New Jersey’s oldest public library is drawing national attention after an book overdue since 1923 was returned from Colorado.
An old edition of Shakespeare’s “Henry V” turned up at the Paterson Free Public Library last month, shipped 1,800 miles by a woman who discovered it while browsing through books she had inherited from her grandmother nearly 30 years ago.
Cynthia Delhaie said the book had a sign-out car attached inside the cover with a person’s name on it and the due date of Feb. 1, 1923. But, the person who took out the book was not her grandmother and she didn’t recognize the name.
